An antique and collectible vehicle auction in North Platte will feature one special auction item with it's proceeds to be donated to support veterans programs. Rod Wright of Wright Brothers Auction says the overall auction begins at 11:00am Saturday at North Platte's D & N Event Center. One of the vehicles to be sold is a 1977 Lincoln Continental Town Car which was donated. The proceeds will be directed towards veterans support programs. There will be some other smaller auction items along with proceeds from the lunch that will also be directed towards veterans program. Auctioneer Rod Wright explains that part of the inspiration for the gestures is the fact that he has had several relatives in the military service. Wright hopes to raise funds in a similar fashion at another auction planned for later this year.
